
Figure Study 8343
On the left is a armature of a skeleton derived from the brilliant illustrator Andrew Loomis. The beauty of this armature is that all the key origins and insertions are readily available to place the muscles on. An important thing to remember here is that the construction of a figure isn't so much building an outline than rather drawing in the actual muscles with regard to pull points based on muscular action.
On the right is more complete rendering. I wouldn't try to transform the right representation into a final drawing... I would used what I gleaned from the study and make the drawing | painting from scratch.
