At DC/DC, there was a conversation about having an area where n00bies could meet and play and work on Drupal sites to gain experience. I thought that this was a great idea: kinda like what the old artists guild were like back in the day (read: medieval days). So, like any geek, i went straight out and snagged http://www.themersguild.org In the same breath, i remember pm-ing mortendk to snag http://www.markupmarines.com/ and, lol, it is also an open atrium site!

I work on a great team at Sony Music. We are an eclectic bunch; all a little crazy; all wicked smart (Nikki, did it say it right?).

Being that we are all geeks (BoF), we support each other in our endeavors. So last week, we all ventured down to the LES and packed the back room of a bar for a band made up on three members of our Sony family. I carry a FLIP with me every where I go, so it was second nature to record the band doing their thing. Those videos came out very well (it was the engineers at Flip, not me!) and so they are posted on The Dirt Bikes website.

If you haven't guessed, this blog contains things I need to remember because I make alot of stupid mistakes. This happens often when your brain is a sieve.

Anyhow, so with my last install of WAMP, I decided to be clever and give my 'root' privilege an actual password because I was tired of seeing that error is phpMyAdmin. LOL, well, so after I set it and tried to get into the phpMyAdmin ... I was locked out.

So, if that happens to you, try this:

1. use the WAMP task bar manager and select the MySQL console or ...

Yeah you read that right!

The details surrounding this is quite complicated ... so i won't bore you with history. I will just tell you how to do it (which is all I want when I spent more hours that I can remember looking for a solution!)
